The following online materials will engage you in key concepts of digital activism and safe practices of creative digital engagement. You will be provided with all necessary digital tools for creating your innovative digital youth activism projects; you will engage in reflection exercises to audit your own skills in digital activism; and you will have the opportunity to participate in forums and discussions.

How to use this source

This source is an Open Access Educational Resource including 4 toolkits in total, ready to be explored by the young and youth workers and policy makers interested in digital activism. The toolkits include knowledge and information on how through digital activism one can make a difference by advocating, campaigning, and engaging as digital activists, either for supporting an existing cause or bringing light to something new.

In this Open Access Educational Resources youth and youth workers will engage in various activities from reading narration parts, to watching videos and reflect, completing additional exercises or participating in real-world forum discussions. The activities included in each toolkit are complementary to the content of the resources and are optional for anyone interested to practice the knowledge acquired.

The four Open Access Educational Resources have the aim to support you in:

  • Engaging in digital activism’s causes;
  • Applying the learned concepts to real-world examples of your own choice, making them meaningful to you;
  • Expressing your emotions and feelings on real-world problems as part of a digital activism campaign;
